Flag Rugby Registration Information - Kindergarten through 2nd Grade

The Spring 2026 season will run from Wednesday, April 8th to, most likely, Sunday, June 27, 2026 (season final game still TBD) for the K-2 team.  The Spring 2026 season for this team will be instructional with games beginning in May once players have learned the game basics.

Practice times for the K-2s are from 5:45pm to 7pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Most games happen on Sunday mornings though there can be exceptions to this.

K2 parents:  Please be aware that games every weekend against other rugby clubs in the area may or may not be possible for the K-2 teams.  This is largely dependent upon whether other rugby clubs in the area are able to field K-2 teams in 2026.  However, we try as much as possible to schedule these and try to have intra-squad scrimmages to get the K-2s game time if we cannot play another club on a particular weekend.  Please be aware that our focus at this age level is more about learning the basics and less about competition.

Under 6 Years of Age Requests:  While we want your children to start playing rugby as early as possible, we find that typically kids under the age of 6 are not ready for the length of the practice and do not yet have the physical skills necessary.  We may make a case by case exception, but we ask that you, as the parent who knows your child best, evaluate first whether they can truly handle this and still have fun.  We know you are eager to get them playing, but there are plenty of rugby years ahead if your child enjoys rugby.  If your child does not enjoy rugby, your child may end up with bad rugby associations and not want to play rugby in the future!  No one wants that!
